Glenn Stroh holds the Master of Music degree in Historical Performance from the Oberlin Conservatory (Ohio) and the Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance, with Honors, from Trinity University (Texas). His organ teachers have included James David Christie, David Boe, and David Heller. He has also studied harpsichord with Webb Wiggins and piano with Carolyn True.

Mr. Stroh was named a Fulbright Fellow for 2009-2010, prompting a year of study and research based at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar, Germany, where he studies with Professor Michael Kapsner. His scholarly research centers on the German Romantic organ, collaborations between French and German organ builders in the nineteenth-century, and consequent implications for performance practice of related repertory.

An active church musician, Mr. Stroh currently serves at Covenant Presbyterian Church of Columbus, Ohio. Prior to his appointment at Covenant, he served in organist and assistant capacities for several churches in Texas and Ohio, including the historic Old Stone Church (First Presbyterian) on Cleveland’s Public Square, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral of Cleveland, St. Mark Presbyterian of Boerne, Alamo Heights Presbyterian of San Antonio, and St. John Lutheran of Marion.

Mr. Stroh has performed throughout the United States, Austria, and Germany, including appearances as a featured artist on many historically-important instruments. Notable honors and awards include the 2005 Ballard Prize for Organ Performance and Top Prize in the Alamo AGO/Quimby Student Competition for 2005. While at Trinity, he was the recipient of the prestigious Baker Duncan Scholarship for the Fine Arts from 2002-2006 and the Calvert Award for Music Study Abroad in 2005, leading to study and performances in Vienna, Austria. In addition, he has completed masterclasses with a number of world-renowned organists, including Marie-Claire Alain, David Craighead, Lynne Davis, and Dame Gillian Weir.
